As a rule of thumb, foods that are colored red or orange will activate and empower your root chakra. Here are our favorite foods that bring balance to your mind, body, and spirit.

It’s no coincidence that foods that grow deep in the ground would help us connect to the ground, itself. Root vegetables and rhizomes immediately ground us and grant us the healing powers of Earth. Next time you’re feeling low or have sciatica pain, eat or drink:
